Bob 'Tunda' Hupp is a nationally known singer, songwriter, entertainer, comedian, music historian, and national recording artist from Norfolk, Nebraska. He started playing professionally at the age of fourteen and his national television appearances include Dick Clark's American Bandstand, Cleveland's Upbeat, and New York's Scene 70. He has also appeared on numerous local Rock & Roll television shows in cities all over the country including Memphis, Tennesse; Cleveland, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; Nashville, Tennesse; Sioux City, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska; Topeka, Kansas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Los Angeles, California and many more.
Bob Hupp was inducted into the Nebraska Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and the Iowa Hall of Fame in 2007. Recording with The Smoke Ring at the legendary Sam Phillips Sun Studio in Memphis, Tennesee and on the Buddah Records label, Hupp's recordings have ranked in the National Top 100 Charts (Cash Box, Billboard, and Record World), and have also ranked in the Top 10 on many regional charts (Boston, LA, Memphis, Chicago, and New York to name a few.)
Bob Hupp's fifty-one year musical career includes personal appearances with a host of National Recording Artists including The Smoke Ring, Buddy Knox, Dickey Lee, Rufus Thomas, Tommy Rice, The Everly Brothers, Freddy Fender, Jimmy Dickens, Tammy Wynette, Dave Duddley, Alabama, The Ides of March, Billy Jo Royal, The Newbeats, Tom T. Hall, Oliver, The Shangri-Las, Ray Price, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman, Williams & Ree, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chubby Checker, Tiny Tim, Chicago, Grand Funk Railroad, The Guess Who, Jimmy Clanton, The Blue Magoos, Ted Nugent, Jackyl, REO Speedwagon, .38 Special, and The Beach Boys.
Performing at venues across the Unites States (including Alaska), Bob Hupp has appeared at Concert Halls, Open Air Stadiums, Fairs, Civic Centers, Casinos, Night Clubs, and dozens of Honky Tonks. More recently, he has hosted and performed at Banquets, Resorts, Clubs, and Lounges.
Today, Bob Hupp entertains audiences with a mix of Old Rock & Roll, 50's & 60's Classics, Country, Contemporary, and Old Standards performed on the piano, guitar, harmonica, organ and banjo.
